Description

Stevenston, Ayrshire born Carrick Hamilton was an amateur footballer who played at outside left, joining Queen’s Park and making his Scottish League debut in August 1902 at Dundee. In August 1903 he joined Partick Thistle and spent 3 years at Firhill. He returned to Queens in May 1906 and scored in their Merchant’s Charity Cup semi final win over Third Lanark, although he received a runners up medal as they were beaten 3-2 in the Final by Rangers. He scored 2 goals in 25 League games for Queens Park over his 2 spells, his last appearance coming in December 1906 at Partick Thistle in a 1-0 victory over his former club.

NB the photograph was taken before a game with Celtic on 4th November 1905.
