Bridgeton, Glasgow born left half Herbert “Hugh” Dickson was an amateur footballer who spent his entire senior football career with Queen’s Park. He made his Scottish League debut for The Spiders in a 1-1 draw with Airdrieonians in August 1921 and although he lost his place that October, he regained his first team berth in late January, being a regular thereafter and scoring his first goal for Queen’s Park in a home defeat to Morton in early February. He scored 6 goals in exactly 100 Scottish League and Cup matches through to September 1924, little is known of his football career thereafter.
