Description
This goalkeeper, first name unknown, was understudy to Johnny Mapson and Matt Middleton at Sunderland in 1936-37, but didn’t make the first team either at Sunderland or any other League club. Full biography to follow.
NB a goalkeeper of the same surname, Fred Bryce, played twice for Wolverhampton Wanderers in early 1928 and was last recorded at Witton Albion in 1932. It seems unlikely that this is the same player.
