Description
Born in Rotherhithe, London, Reuben Warnes is not known as a footballer although he was on the books of Southern League club Norwich City in the mid 1900’s. He was a middleweight champion boxer who competed for Great Britain at the 1908 Summer Olympic Games and represented England in 1911 in a boxing match in The United States.
His son Billy Warnes had a successful football career in the 1930’s playing for among others Norwich City.
