Description
Portsea, Hampshire born left sided forward Richard Kitto had been on the books at Southern League club Portsmouth in 1904-05 before taking up a role as trainer at Brighton & Hove Albion in 1905, where he remained until 1908, playing in a United League match for Brighton in 1905. He joined Croydon Common as trainer in 1908 and spent two seasons with the club, also playing occasionally for them, scoring 4 goals in 5 matches before joining Southend United as their trainer in 1910.
