Description

Pelsall, Staffordshire born outside left Amos Lloyd began his football career with Nuneaton Town and played for Halesowen and Hednesford Town, from where he signed for Second Division club West Bromwich Albion in 1910, making his Football League debut at Hull City that September. Amos scored 8 goals and missed only 3 matches as West Bromwich Albion won the Second Division Championship, but he then spent three seasons as a fringe player in Albion’s top flight campaigns and by the time he joined Southern League club Swansea Town in the 1914 close season he had scored 9 goals in 46 matches for The Baggies. His career was then interrupted by the onset of the First World War but after the War he played for Porth Athletic in 1920 and Swansea club Eastside in 1921 before his eventual retirement.
