Kirkdale, Lancashire born right back Jack Page began his career with South Liverpool in 1911 but joined Rochdale the same year, before joining First Division Everton in November 1912. He made his Football League debut at Tottenham Hotspur in November 1913 but this would prove his only Toffees appearance prior to the First World War, before which he had a spell at Gainsborough Trinity in 1914. During the War, both he and his brother Tom made wartime league guest appearances for Liverpool, Jack playing 3 matches for The Reds in 1917-18 and twice in 1918-19.
Resuming with Everton after the conflict, he made 9 further appearances in 1919-20 before a move to Second Division club Cardiff City in May 1920. He played 9 times in Cardiff’s inaugural Football League season, which saw them promoted to the First Division, and he made a further 70 appearances for them over the next five seasons in the top flight, before a move to Merthyr Town in May 1926. He scored his only career goal that first season at Merthyr at Southend United in January 1927, and went on to make 105 appearances for Merthyr over the next three seasons before his retirement in 1929.
His younger brother Louis played for Manchester United, Stoke, Burnley and England among others, and Tom played for among others Rochdale, Everton and Port Vale. Another brother, Willie, played with Louis at Northampton Town.
