Description
Hardingstone, Northamptonshire born goalkeeper Fred Cook joined Southern League Northampton Town in 1902 from where he joined First Division West Bromwich Albion the following year, making his Football League debut at Small Heath (Birmingham City) in November 1903. He made 11 appearances as West Brom were relegated in 1904, and a further 18 appearances the following season in the Second Division, before moving to Southern League Portsmouth in 1905, where he finished his professional football career.
