The youngest of three brothers who played in the Football League (and 3 more who played below first team level), Hucknall born full back Alf Feebery played for Hucknall Congregationalists in 1927 before joining Second Division Notts County in 1928, having a spell on loan at Newark Town the same year before making his Football League debut for The Magpies at Notts County in February 1930 in what was a relegation season. He played 9 times as Notts came straight back up as Third Division (South) Champions in 1930-31 but he didn’t establish himself as a genuine regular until 1933, from where he played 6 seasons mainly in their starting line up. In the summer of 1939, after a single goal in 232 appearances (from a penalty), he joined Bristol Rovers, but had only played 3 games of the 1939-40 season when the Second World War intervened and his football career was ended.
His older brothers Albert and Jack Feebery had successful football careers in the 1920’s with the likes of Crystal Palace, Brighton and Exeter City.
