Description

Preston born inside forward Bill Graham had played for Dick Kerr’s XI before World War One and after the War joined Lancaster Town in 1920. From there he joined Third Division (South) Northampton Town in their second League season, making his Football League debut against Portsmouth in March 1922. He played 21 times in 1922-23 but became a fringe player the next season with only occasional outings, and transferred to Wrexham in the close season of 1924 after 10 goals in 49 appearances for The Cobblers. His spell at the Racecourse Ground lasted a single season with two goals in 6 appearances, before he returned to   Lancaster Town in 1925. He later played for Great Harwood in 1926, Burscough Rangers in 1927 and Lytham in 1928 before retirement.
