Description
Bolton born winger Harry Baldwin’s career as a professional footballer was brief. Signed from Bolton junior football in 1920, he made his Southend debut in April 1921 against Millwall and kept his place in the team until the end of the season, scoring against Brentford in a 4-1 home win. He started the new season in the team but was dropped, despite another goal, after 4 games, and thereafter made 3 more sporadic appearances up to and including a Boxing Day home defeat to Portsmouth. Released after 2 goals in 14 games, he signed for Bolton Wanderers and had a year in their reserves before joining non league Altrincham in 1923 and Northwich Victoria in 1924.
