Description
An amateur footballer, Swindon, Staffordshire born wing half Geoffrey Bamforth played for Saltley College after the First World War before signing for Third Division (North) Wigan Borough in July 1921. He made his Football League debut, and only career first team appearance, in a 4-1 home defeat to Nelson in September 1921.
