Description
Edenfield, Lanacashire born wing half George Brooks started playing for Tottington in 1909 joining Ramsbottom in 1910 before signing for First Division Bury in April 1912, playing initially as an amateur before signing professional forms in 1913. He only made 2 appearances before World War One but after the conflict was over he played another 7 seasons at Bury scoring 3 goals in 74 appearances before retiring from professional football in 1926.
