Description

Falkirk, Stirlingshire born left back Tommy Dunn began his football career with East Stirlingshire in 1890 before joining Football League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 1891, making his League debut at Sunderland the following month. Initially a fringe player, he broke into the Wolves first team from the start of the 1893-94 season, and helped Wolves to reach the 1896 FA Cup Final, where they lost to Sheffield Wednesday at The Crystal Palace.

After 102 appearances for Wolves, he signed for Burnley in December 1896, but he only made 7 appearances for The Clarets before joining Southern League Chatham in 1898. After a season with Chatham he joined Thames Ironworks (now West Ham United) and helped them to win the Southern League Second Division title in 1898-99, making 42 appearances for The Irons over two seasons before retiring in 1900.
