Description

Hucknall, Notts born wing half Albert Feebery began his football career with Hucknall in 1909 and had been on the books at Nottingham Forest in 1910, without making a first team appearance, but first played professionally for Southern League Coventry City whom he’d joined in 1911,  moving to Crystal Palace in June 1914 immediately prior to the First World War, scoring once in 24 games in the 1914-15 season.

Despite the interruption of War he continued to play for Palace until 1925, initially in the Southern League, and then making his Football League debut for the new League Third Division (South) club, playing in their inaugural League match at Merthyr Town in August 1920 and scoring 7 goals in 94 Football League and FA Cup matches thereafter, before joining non league Folkestone in 1925 having scored 8 goals in 164 appearances during his eleven years with Palace including his Southern League matches.

His older brother Jack Feebery played for Bolton, Exeter and Brighton, and his youngest brother Alf played for Notts County and Bristol Rovers in the 1930’s, in addition three other brothers played reserve team football.
