Description

Luton, Bedfordshire born goalkeeper Harry Fryer joined Exeter City from local club Luton Clarence in 1921 after helping them win the Athenian League Championship in 1919-20, and made his Football League debut at Charlton Athletic in August 1921. He was the regular goalkeeper over the next two seasons making 61 appearances losing his place in the team to Sydney Pavey.

He made the move down the Devon coast to non league Torquay United in 1923 but he soon returned to League football, joining Halifax Town in the summer of 1924, and played 32 games for The Shaymen during 1924-25 before finishing his professional football career.
