Description
Belfast born inside forward Sammy Hamilton played junior football against Mountpottinger in 1920 before joining Irish League Dundela in 1921. From there he joined Welsh League Bangor in 1922 and Southern League Ebbw Vale in 1923, before moving to Second Division Hull City in 1924, making his Football League debut at Crystal Palace that September. He scored 8 goals in 31 appearances in a single season at Boothferry Park but for whatever reason (injury?) left the professional game in 1925.
