Description
Little is known of the career of outside right Thomas Holden. He played one match for Second Division club Burnley in a 5-0 defeat at Barnsley, it’s possible he was Burnley’s trainer and had to fill in for a missing player. He is photographed in Grimsby Town’s 1910 team group, when he was The Mariners’ trainer in their 1910-11 season, when, having lost their League status, they won the Midland League Championship and were re-elected to the Second Division the following season.
