Description
Dublin born inside right Alexander Kirkland began his football career with Shelbourne after the First World War and joined Pontypridd in 1920, from where he moved to Second Division Bradford Park Avenue in November 1921, making his Football League debut against Hull City the following month. He scored three goals in 18 appearances as Bradford suffered relegation at the end of the season, and he remained at Park Avenue for 1922-23, when he scored 3 goals in 10 further appearances. He moved back to Irish football with Shamrock Rovers in 1924.
