Description
Edinburgh born half back Henry Loney began his football career with Denny Hibs, from where he joined Scottish League club Falkirk, moving to Alloa Athletic. From Alloa he joined Dumbarton in May 1921, scoring 7 goals in 113 appearances over the next three seasons returning to Alloa in 1924 before finishing his senior career.
His older brother, Willie Loney, played for Celtic and Scotland, as well as for Motherwell, Partick Thistle and Clydebank.
