Description

Kilmarnock born inside forward Patrick McCamon began his football career with junior club Irvine Victoria in 1933 and joined Largs Thistle in 1934. In September 1935 he joined St Mirren and scored 10 goals in 48 games for The Buddies before joining Third Division Barrow in April 1937, making his Football League debut at New Brighton the following August, scoring on his debut in a 2-1 defeat. He played 8 times for Barrow that autumn scoring twice but returned to Scotland to join Dundee United in the summer of 1938. However he made only 3 appearances for United’s first team and was released in December 1938.
