Description
Wrockwardine Wood, Shropshire born winger Francis Pickering joined local professional football club Wolverhampton Wanderers around 1922 but never played a first team match, and moved to First Division Preston North End. At Preston he made a single first team appearance on 15th September 1924 in a 3-1 home defeat to Cardiff City. It was his only senior game and little is known of his career after leaving Deepdale.
