Description

St Andrews, Fife born winger Dennis Quigley began his football career with St Andrews United in 1933 from where he joined Dundee in 1934. He joined Brechin City in 1935 and it was from there that he was signed by First Division Grimsby Town aa year later, making his Football League debut at Brentford in March 1937. A fringe player during his 3 seasons at Blundell Park, he scored twice in 23 appearances for Grimsby and in the 1939 close season he joined Hull City. However after 2 appearances at the start of the abandoned 1939-40 season the Second World War arrived, and after the War he returned to Scotland joining Forfar Athletic in 1946.

NB Photograph taken 27th December 1937 away at Stoke City. The match finished a 1-1 draw.
