Description
Northampton born Harold Redhead played his professional football career with hometown Southern League club Northampton Town.
At the start of the First World War he enlisted with The Coldstream Guards and subsequently fought with the Northamptonshire Regiment of the British Army, rising to the rank of Captain, and he was killed in action in France in August 1918. He was one of eight Northampton Town players to serve their country and lose their lives during the conflict.
