Rotherhithe, London born centre half Len Reilly began his football career with Diss Town from where he was signed by Second Division club Norwich City in February 1936, making his Football League debut at Luton Town in December 1937, appearing intermittently thereafter, his best run of matches coming from February to May 1939. By the time of the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Reilly had played 32 matches for The Canaries, and the War substantially interrupted his career, during which he played as a wartime guest for Swindon Town in 1945. After the War he returned to Carrow Road and played once more for Norwich in a match at Aldershot in September 1946 before joining Southern League club Chelmsford City soon thereafter, finally playing for Gorleston in 1948, his final recorded club before his eventual retirement.
