Description
Left half Tommy Smith was born at Luncarty, Perthshire and signed for Dundee from his local junior club. He became club captain during the mid 1930’s. It was said of him at the time: “A hard worker in both attack and defence, the Dundee “skipper” originates many clever movements.” He was capped by The Scottish League against The Irish League playing in a 3-2 victory at The Oval in September 1937.
