Thomson Alec Image 1 Airdrieonians 1912

Description
An inside right, Alec Thomson joined Airdrieonians in August 1899 from Coatbridge Caledonians and spent the next 17 years at Broomfield Park, and was a member of the team that won the Scottish Second Division Championship in 1903. In March 1909 he won a single international cap for Scotland when he played in a 5-0 victory over Ireland at Ibrox, scoring the third goal. He eventually retired in April 1916.
