Right half William “Shoogly” Walker played for Fraserburgh from where he joined Glasgow Rangers, making his Scottish League debut in a defeat at Heart of Midlothian in September 1902. He made one further League appearance two weeks later in a win over Morton, and a final first team appearance in the Inter Cities League at Partick Thistle in April 1903 before joining Southern League Reading for their 1907-08 campaign.
He returned to Scotland joining Clyde and in February 1909 was selected for The Scottish League in their 3-1 victory over The Football League at Celtic Park. In March 1909 he won the first of his two Scotland caps in the British Championship 3-0 win over Ireland at Ibrox. His second and final cap came almost exactly a year later in the same fixture, this time in a 1-0 defeat at Windsor Park. He later joined Clydebank playing on until the early 1920’s before retirement.
